个人简历 PersonalresumeMyresearchinterestsfocusonthecomponentsandstructureoftheinner4kpcofourGalaxy.StudiesofthisregionoftheMilkyWayprovideuswithabetterunderstandingoftheformationandevolutionofourowngalaxyandofgalaxiesingeneral.TheGalaxyconsistsofvariouscomponentswithdifferentdynamicsandstructureandnowadaysitiswellestablishedthatitisabarredspiralgalaxyofmorphologicaltypeSBb.Evidencefortheexistenceofthebarcomesfromobservationsofbothgasandstars.However,thepropertiesofthebarsuchaselongation,thicknessandviewinganglesarestillpoorlyconstrained,aswellasitsrelationtothediskandspiralarms.Itisdifficulttoproperlymapthelarge-scalemorphologyoftheMilkyWay,mainlybecauseweobserveitinanon-linearprojectionandbecauseinterstellarextinctionstronglyhampersanunbiasedviewofitsstellarcontent.
LargeanddeeperinfraredsurveyssuchasDENIS,2MASS,ISOGAL,MSX,GLIMPSE,WISE,UKIDSS,etc...haveindividuallyresolvedseveralthousandsoflate-typestarsandyoungstarstowardstheinnerGalaxy.Thisenablesustohavenewinsightsintostellarpopulationcharacteristicsandtheirspatialdistribution.
